The Mysteries of Softer Curves

Gay, straight or in between, man or woman, it’s natural to be fascinated by the allure of the female body, the softer curves, the mysterious nuances, created by Mother Nature in the same general form, yet hauntingly different and individual from one female to the next. Couple this with her feminine instincts and perspectives, you have quite an exquisite creature. Even men sexually attracted exclusively to other men must recognize the subtle beauty.

Frank Wallis Photography

Frank Wallis on his artistic work: “To add meaning to life through an interpretation of beauty, as an antidote for the ugliness that surrounds us. Feel free to gaze upon my work and enjoy looking at beautiful women. I protest against the neo-Victorian convention that one may look at an artistic nude but not get pleasure from seeing a beautiful woman. I struggle against intellectual prudery so ingrained in Western culture that it is considered low class to enjoy beauty or the miracle of womanly form. I decry the cult of ugliness which dominates modern art.”

I’m in full agreement with Frank’s convictions concerning the female form. Just as he shows us the whole of a woman, he also shows us every detail, every nuance, every shadow and crease, all of which comes as nature’s grand design and is wonderful and captivating to behold. Women are beautiful natural wonders, mentally and physically.  No part of her is immoral, shameful or lewd.  It’s refreshing when a talented photographer understands this and showcases her body without reservation.

Essential

.

What is essential in a man’s world?  Air.  Water.  Food.  Women.  Yes, women.  Even in a gay man’s world, women are essential.  She may be a colleague, a friend, a sister or a confidant, but she is an essential balance to an otherwise savage world.  Her form and beauty, mysterious and magical as they are, are merely icing on the cake.

.

.

Not because without her it is impossible to procreate.  But because she brings beauty, civilization, order.

.

.

She may be your wife, your sister, your mother.  You are who you are because of her.  Even if you’re gay, she may be the only person you know in this world who comes down on your side when no one else will.

.

.

She nurtures, tolerates, understands and forgives.  She’s there against impossible odds.

.

.

She fascinates, enchants and compels us to control our minds.

.

.

Sometimes she excites us.  Sometimes she causes shivers at the back of our necks.  Sometimes she is a gift we can savor with all five senses.

.

.

She affects our body chemistry, our moods, our ambitions.  She encourages us when we can’t encourage ourselves.
